We came back recently from an 11 day Disney trip, and we also spent 1 night at RPR. We had an amazing stay, even though it was only one night! All of the employees at the hotel we extremely friendly and professional. We stay off site at a vacation home, but even when we stayed on property at Disney we have never had the level of service we had here. From the gentleman at check in, to luggage services and room service, all employees were great! We got room service for dinner, went to City walk around 5:30 (DH ate again :), swam at the hotel from 7-8:30, then back to the room to sleep.

The pool was so much fun- beach balls were flying, and we grabbed one and played volleyball with the kids- fun family time. They were setting up the movies at the poolside when we were going back to our room, but wish we were able to stay- but I knew we needed to get up early for WWoHP. It was a fantastic time at RPR!! We will be back to take advantage of express pass next time!

sounds like a winning stay at rph.

looks like you all have a fun time!

Thanks!! We had a great time. Forgot to add we were on the 5th floor of tower 3, far from the elevator- perfect location and we had a nice view of a lagoon!

Glad you had such a great stay.

We love the RPR and have only ever had wonderful experiences staying there too.

The staff are wonderful from the moment you step into the hotel, and yes the pool is amazing to be around....so much fun.

Love tower 3 too :thumbsup2

We checked out this morning after two nights and loved it. We are at Disney now and wished we could have stayed at RPR all week.

This is why people normally finish their vacation at Universal. Or like us we stay only at RPR and drive to the other parks, its nice returning home each night.

Just booked our first Universal trip for next year. We had so much fun at UOR this past year. We drove over from our Disney resort for what was supposed to be 2 days, but turned into 3 because the kids (and Us) gave up our last Disney day to use our free third day at universal. We didn't want to go back to Disney. It was so laid back compared to Disney and we all voted for NO Disney trip for 2014. Booked RPR for 9 nights, will be seeing Sea world and Busch Gardens each one day. But cant wait to have more time at Universal. Glad to hear everyone enjoying it more than Disney

Bite your tongue!! Haha, I'm just kidding! I know what you mean- that's why we rent a vacation house when we are at Disney:thumbsup2 I'm glad you liked Universal, too!

We spent 3 nights last week at RPR in a Club level room. I love being able to walk to both parks and we had plenty of time to enjoy the pool as well. With the club breakfast and evening food, we only had to buy large lunches and late evening snacks. My 2 kids who were with us are over 18, and DD used the fitness room each day also. I showered there after swimming a couple of times.

We went on to Disney afterwards for 4 nights at the Beach Club, and had less time to use the pool there, but still could walk to Epcot each evening and to the Studios one morning. Enjoyed Disney just as much!

Agree with bluer, we did the rpr then Disney and so wanted to be back, we have stayed there and drove everywhere since that first trip.
Great to hear good reviews on RPR as its our fav, and really missing being there

We love staying at the RPR and this will be our third time staying there. LOVE the buffet breakfast in the Islands dining room :)

I really want to stay at RPR for our trip next year, but I am nervous about the room size. I just don't want it to be too tight. It will be me and my husband along with our 3 kids (12, 9,8). Please tell me others with 5 have stayed here with no problem!!!!!!

Well, I don't know what the official capacity for RPR is (maybe like Disney with 3 kids but one has to be under 3??) but I'd say it depended upon how many days you were going to stay- we like space, and our 2 kids are 17 and 10. We fit fine, but we only stayed one night. We would not like to have stayed a week there, though. We went back to our 5 bedroom vacation rental! :thumbsup2

Not sure if they have rollaways, but there was a comfy chair in the corner, but not sure an 8 year old would be able to sleep on it;) Maybe you would be better off looking for a larger room than a standard, but not sure of RPR room configurations. I'm sure if you look on the website, they may have suites, etc.

Rooms at the RPR are 335 sq. ft.

That's about the same size as WL, AKL and bigger than CSR, POR, POFQ, CBR, POP, ASSR, ASMu and ASMo.

It is slightly smaller than BW, BC and YC which are around 380.

Our family of 5 (kids 14,12,11) will be staying at rpr in two weeks. If you can wait to book I will post if the room is too small for us.

Love RPH! We'll be there in 2 days :yay:

We love that Universal resorts are pet friendly. The TMs have all been great about our little dog. I have seen big dogs there too.
