Just got back from a 2 night stay at the Dolphin. 1st night was a 'Free Friday' from SPG, the second night $129 teacher rate.
We checked in to room 15097, and WOW, what a view! We could see Epcot's World Showcase, the Board Walk, the Swan, and MGM. We watched both Illuminations and Fantasmic from our room (well, couldn't see that much of Fantasmic, but caught parts of it). I hadn't requested any room type or view, so we were just blown away with the room.
I had stayed at the Dolphin on my honeymoon, and was less than thrilled with the room and the staff. This time it was like a completely different hotel. Great service, no slamming doors from house keeping, no noise from backing up trucks - it was great! The only bad thing was teenagers next door that kept yelling 'Can you believe this ****!!!' over and over when they checked in at 1:00AM.
I'm really looking forward to my next stay there this December (combined with my first stay at Beach Club Villas).
