I had all my December 2003 use year points planned and booked out except for that darn Braves spring training trip hubby wanted to take with hid Dad. I was waiting to book OKW until after the game schedule came out becuase they were only going down for four nights and wanted to attend at leats two games.

Scedule came out early! And I called thsi morning and got OKW no problems. I was concerned since it was near spring break time and at thsi point I was calling only four months out. Hope it comes out thsi early each year as they want to make thsi a yearly trip. I had read the schedule woudl coem out in early December, giving me only a three month window to book a studio.

Now thw worry of not getting a room is over with. I knew if it wasn't avavilabel hubby woudl have been a littel irritated with our DVC purscahse as thsi is his only request.
Do you think it will be this easy each year?

For thsoe wanting game schedule info here's a link -

If they did it this year, they may continue to release the schedule early. In any case, you can roughly estimate when the games will be each year and book the room as early you like. When the "real" schedule arrives you can adjust if necessary.

Thanks for sharing this. You are right, the schedule did come out early. In past years it come out around Thanksgiving. We've seen games the last 3 times we stayed in March. The kids always had a good time. What a great facility Disney has, I love the design.

DVCDAVE and for thsoe who ahve been to a game before...
Did you get there really early before the game started? And if so how early? (Wondering when they'd open the gate for a 1:00 game...) Where you able to see them all practicing on the feild, any chance for autograghs?
Any other tips I can pass on to hubby woudl eb great. I told him he needed to go to ESPN (The one on BW, correct?) for Baseball Tonight. Any others?
Thanks!

jaysue, getting close! Are ya'll ready to go?!?
By the way, Len has now taken on a new obsession - hockey. I guess thsi is to fill the void during off season for baseball. Better than football, though! At leats I can watch it and soemwhat enjoy it and the biggest bonus is it is TIMED!!! He even drug us all out the otehr day to go see the Atlanta Thrashers practice. Actually, I was amazed at how accessible the players were. We got four autograghs. You'd never see that at a baseball prcatice!

I would recomend getting there an hour before the game, the main reason being traffic............it moves slow, and you may have a good walk to get from your car to the main gate. You will also have to pass security inspection.

Yes they do some warming up before the game, and there is a slight chance for an autograph by hanging out near the seats behind the dugout. However there will most likely be several dozen people doing the same thing too.

If you have seats near the dugout, the players usually toss a game ball to the kids as they come in form making the last out of the inning.
