Great Sale

For you people in Central Florida or visiting. Lord & Taylor in the FLorida mall is going out of business. I bought a suit originally marked $300 for $24.50, a robe for my daughter originally $60.00 for $12.00. I originally went there for children's clothes and they don't carry them. The L&T I used in Massachusetts had great kids' clothes. But I did ok - (until I went to the Osh Kosh outlet and blew it). (I have grandchildren you know.)

Macy's bought all the May company stores. The sales are are crazy. A lot of things are 75% off with a buy one get one free. My store isn't closing, just turning into Macy's, but they are getting rid of everything that isn't Macy's merchandise.

I think that's a little bit of a shame. In Massachusetts I liked Filenes better than Macy's and the Macy's in my town doesn't seem to have much of anything. Actually no store here does - they all feature pants and tops with flowers and sequins. I really liked Lord and Taylor. I really urge anybody who is around it to get there.

I hope that Macy's works out well for you Laurie - with benefits and hours and such. You once talked about going to work somewhere else. Are you still thinking about doing that?

Well, so far there isn't much difference. But, I am looking, I need more money, cause this isn't cutting it.
