Great recent experiences

I know folks often take the time to post when things don't go well, so I wanted to take time to post about my recent positive experiences. In the last year, I have stayed at Aulani, VGC, BC, BW, BLT, Poly, AKV, and HHI and have not had a single negative experience with Mousekeeping, Magic Bands, etc. My DD and I have had magical experiences in the park. When there were slight hiccoughs, Disney took care of it. Recently an experience I booked at HHI was cancelled, and the apology/compensation really went above and beyond. Also, I have felt appreciated as a DVC member. For example, I received Welcome Back candy gifts from BW and BLT; the BLT chocolate plate was especially nice. Bottom line - still loving my membership after 7 years!

Can't say I ever had any "extras" (lucky you!) but I too have not had a "bad" stay at a DVC resort over the past 20+ years. Maybe a few minor inconveniences such as you can run into anywhere you stay, but so minor that they don't stand out to me anymore (unless that is just due to my ever increasing age!).

I've noticed that Disney restaurants are starting to welcome you back. We got a "Welcome Back" card from Kona Cafe and Tiffins in March. Honestly, just about every place we ate at was a repeat, so they missed some!

Sounds similar to us - stays have been fine. Nothing extra which was no less than expected.

May be memory though! haha I just thought about our January VGC stay - that one had some issues with the work they are doing there (jack hammering out pool deck all day long even on the weekend and no water a couple of nights then no hot water in the morning) and then actually having rain leak into the room much to the curiosity of maintenance. At one time we had 3 maintenance guys standing there watching water drip in with puzzled looks on their faces.

Glad to hear, on some of the other threads the vibe seems so negative. We have enjoyed all of our trips and when we have had minor hiccups, Disney castmembers have always worked them out to our satisfaction. For example as a DVC member with a reservation for mid-May we should have gotten an e-mail about the Pandora preview, we didn't. I called DVC member services and the castmember and her supervisor couldn't have been more helpful. After the call we found ourselves with a registration for the preview, very exciting !!

As a BCV owner since 2003, I LOVED the newly renovated studio we stayed in this past October! Plenty of storage, seems like more room, and tons of conveniences. Our room actually stayed clean and organized, for the first time in all these years. Still love our home!
