Had a great time at WDW 12/3-12/11 on the Premium Plan! Parks not crowded, gorgeous decorations, Excellent Food (and so much of it!). Thanks for all of the info.
Quick notes...best meal Jiko. Great in every way.
Best setting: California Grill dinner during MVMCP fireworks.
Best Time: 50s Primetime Diner (lunch)
Best Show: La Nouba...fantastic!
Best Character Meal: CRT (lunch) and 1900 Park Fare (bkfst)
Arrived home 3 days before BIG ice storm knocked out power for 7 days (yup 7 whole days, finally back on 12/21. DSL and cable finally repaired 1/5).

I'll try to get a trip report done within the next week or so. If anyone has questions, ask away. DH golfed every day. Did "Backstage safari" and "Keys to the kingdom tour", dined fabulously...especially funny to remember just one short week later sitting home, in the dark, no heat, munching wheat thins for dinner (no power in the whole area), thinking "this time last week I was eating a filet mignon at Artist Point"....anyway, thanks again for all the great info! We had so much fun I'm planning to go back in 2007! :teeth: :earsboy:

Sounds as though you had a blast ~ Can't wait to read more.

Glad you had such a yummy time, sorry about the ice storm, what a homecoming!

can I ask what premium plan is? Glad you had a great time - jiko and calif grill are our fave restaurants there!

DH and I will be on the Premium Plan this September so your post makes me excited. How many nights did you stay? Did you feel like you did everything on the plan that you wanted to do? (We're staying 8 nights and are worried about not having enough time.) What other recreation did you do? About how much did your dining add up to and how'd things go with the three meals a day? Thanks for sharing. *** I see your dates at the top of the post so please disregard that question. ***

Hi DeterminedOne!

You will love the Premium Plan. I haven't had time to add all the receipts to come up with the exact amount of money spent on meals but...that said, we estimated the cost of our meals and it was around $150 per person per day. (there were four of us self, DH, DD 20 and DD 17) We did character breakfasts and all the rest were sit down meals, dinners were at the nice resort restaurants...we had appetizer, entree, dessert...nearly always. By the third day we were joking that this must be how foie gras geese feel (you know they force feed them to make them fat). We skipped a few meals...didn't always have all three courses...and still feel that it was a great deal (money wise) for us. Particularly as each round of golf would have been about $150-$175...
DD (17) had a trail ride scheduled but it was quite cold and rainy so she cancelled. Dh played golf daily (totally loved it) and had a golf lesson. The behind the scenes tours were terrific. It was our first time ever to go to WDW (since my childhood trip in about 1971!) so we spent alot of our time in the parks and not so much on recreation...but it was very easy to make the reservations and so on. I'm sure you'd love the recreation options. So much to do.
It was just fabulous having everything prepaid and having so many choices. Most of the servers were very helpful and told us that the premium plan was a fabulous deal (of course they would!). It was a vacation that was really with no worries. I loved every minute of it. I'm not sure I would have enjoyed it so much if I had to shell out that much actual money on a daily basis (I'm notoriously cheap...umm... I mean frugal).
Was 8 days enough? I arrived about 8:30 AM on sat morning and left for the airport about 6 PM the following Sunday...we did not see everything...much was left undone...8 days was a fabulous time though...I needed to come home and get some rest after that! But I am going back in 2 years (Japan this year) again on the Premium Plan for another 7 or 8 days. Good luck with your planning... :wave2:

I am glad you enjoyed the premium plan .I used it last year for my trip. I went to Jiko ,50 PTC and lA Nouba to. I also had dinner at 1900 park fare.
Its a great plan. This year i am going with the platium plan! :wizard:

Hey disneytraveler...I think I'm jealous! Have a great time! How did you decide to do the Platinum Plan? I wasn't sure I'd do anything other than V & A that wasn't included in the Premium...well yeah, I'd probably get a massage...and mickey bars in the parks...and the fireworks cruise... and... okay I get it! Look forward to hearing about your trip!
