Great postcard rate!

Just got a postcard in the mail today for the Value resorts for $49 a night
We have never stayed at any of the value resorts, but for that price, how can I not?? The travel dates are 8/29-9/29. We were planning an October trip, but looks like that is about to change I am soooooo excited about this. Like I said, we have never stayed at any of the Values, so I am just wondering which is the best of the best of the Value resorts? I am sure they can not compare to the WL, which is where I am hooked on, but I can't stop thinking of the extra spending money I am going to have I am just so happy about this

the value resorts are pretty much cookie cutter properties, in other words if youve seen one youve seen em all. the big diff is what kind of huge icons do you want to look at outside. which are of course dictated by the name of the value resort. we stayed at music a couple of years ago and vowed never to do it again and for 15 to 20 bucks a day extra we stay at a moderate. having said that, 49 is a really cool price and movies seems to have the biggest fan base. have fun

POP seems to have broken out of the all star shell. See the POP thread. It also offers the Postcard Rate of $49.00!

Be sure to ask if their are other rates available at the moderates or deluxes tied to your post card. Over the summer I received a postcard for a deluxe. When I called they gave me quotes for deluxe, moderates and values. That way you can see if you can get an awesome rate on other resorts as well.

I used to get postcards, but not anymore. Where do they get their database of names to mail postcards to? That is just the rate that I am looking for!!!

What a great rate...I wish I could get one. I have 9 nights in Sept wiht a AAA rate and would love a little more of a price break.

I got the same postcard, and when I asked if there were moderate rates, they said no - two different CMs said it.

But we'll be happy to enjoy the $49 at a value! Heck, there's hardly a hotel room anywhere for that price!!!!

Those dates are when we are going, and we are staying at the values...that's probably why we didn't get it, right? Does that usually signal similar AP rates in the near future?

Wow, I wish I'd get a postcard, but after 10 trips I haven't gotten one. I guess they figure I'm coming back so way bother For years we paid RACK RATES and that that was the norm, then I found this wonderful board and realized I probably could have gone twice as many times if I'd found it earlier...........

This is my theory only... My daughter received the 1st postcard we ever received, and she's only 2! The only way she is in their database, is because I ordered a vacation planning kit/movie in HER name, and also stated that she's only had 1 trip to Disney, in the questionaire. I think these postcard offers are going to people that haven't had many trips to Disney. So, sign up for a new movie, and fib that you've never been there!

We just got 2 postcards yesterday with these rates too. Now, we're just waiting on AP rates for December...

We really loved the AS Movies & stayed there twice. Even after staying at the WL, which is also my favorite resort, we won't hesitate to return there. We are actually booked right now for the POP Century this September at the same rate! My husband's family just stayed at POP in April & really loved it. We're very excited!!

My vote would be AS Movies or POP Century -

AS Movies has great icons, fun pools & a nice food court.

POP is still very new & fresh, looks like a lot of fun & I've heard has very good transporation - they don't share buses with anyone.
