We just purchased the new Video Now player. I only picked up one to see what the kids thought. My just turned 3 year old, Loved it. Yes, its black and white and small But it has disks that have 2 cartoons each on them. I am not investing in 3 Personnel Dvd players for kids this age this is a great compromise. If it breaks it was only $50..... It is going to be a lifesaver on the plane. I am going tommorow to get 2 more and 3 sets of headphones. It will be an early christmas gift so I can Justify it to myself.

I've never heard of these before, so when I read your post I did a search to see what it was . Seems pretty cool. My kids would love these for our plane trip to Disney in 17 days. Where did you buy yours? Thanks!

I've seen these at target. Would love to know how long the batteries last on them though considering we have to fly from the west coast.

I bought mine at Toys R US. Yes, it is black and white but my guys went nuts over it. We watched 3 mixed taped 60 minutes yesterday, and so far the batteries are still going strong. This would be worth buying a 12 pack if it keeps them happy on the plane. I do not allow mine to walk around on the plane. Its carseat time just like the car. So this will work out really well for my 3 year old twins! good luck, nana is buying 2 more today I think It will be a big Holiday item this year!:D

Thanks for the tip - I am going to get one for our trip in November. I peeked at one at TRU but haven't purchased it yet. Do you think two kids could watch togeter or is it like a gameboy where if its tilted a certain way its hard to see? I already have a splitter so two headphones won't be an issue.

I am traveling alone with my two dd's and I don't want to lug to much "stuff" on board. They share very well and would compromise on what to watch I am only concerned as to whether they both could see. TIA

My Daughter kinda knows, (She;'s not sure if I got it) Tee Hee..

But I agree Great for the Plane..

And also a "problem" we had at Disney there was No Nick Toons on.. She wanted so badly to see her Fairly Odd Parents, Sponge Bob. etc So now at Night if she wants to lay in bed and watch her Tv.. Thats just fine with me..

Even if they share fabulously. I do think you would need one for each child. Its very much like a game boy. the child sitting more to the side might have a hard time seeing the screen. think of it this way at least they can share the disks and switch off. But, Definately I would say they each need thier own!

Oh well, while I don't mind spending the $$ and the extra item to carry around to much. The thing is that the girls love to watch together, laugh together esp at cartoons and its just not as much fun watching alone. From the quick peek I got of the demo at TRU I had a feeling this was going to be the case. Maybe they will come out with a link or something like they have for gameboy. Now I have to decide if I should get one, get two or just stick with the gameboys. At least they both have b'days before our November trip.
