What a great night at MNSSHP last night. I was worried about the rain but I pre-purchased my tickets so go we went. It was just my daughter and myself celebrating her 1/2 birthday. We normally celebrate 1/2 birthday with 1/2 of a cake and a new book - but I recently had surgery and Dad and Nanny have been stepping in for me - I needed some one on one time with my daughter.
My daughter could not find a costume she liked (not authentic enough per her) so I made her a Belle costume the blue one. She loved it - here she is posing near the Crystal Palace shortly after we arrived at around 7PM.
While we were taking this photo - the funniest thing happened - a man ran over, called my daughter Belle and asked if she could take a photo with his daughters. She said yes and then these two girls pulled out their autograph books! They thought she was THE BELLE. My daughter did not know what to do so I explained that she is happy to take a photo, however she is late to meet the Beast so she could not give an autograph right now. I then took a picture of them with Abigail.
We went on every ride we wanted with no wait - here was the order:
Haunted House
It's a small World
Snow White
Carousel
People Mover
Buzz Light Year
Laugh Floor
Pirate
As we were leaving Haunted house it started to rain, they gave us the option to right it again through the handicap entrance. We skipped it and instead ran into this fine dead woman.
We put on our ponchos and headed to the next ride but the rain ended within an hour and then is was a beautiful night - not hot or cold - just right.
Of course my daughter had to see Gaston and this was the first year he was at the party. We started to look for him and instead ran into this guy.
The two did a duet together - be our guest - it was so cute!
We continued on our search for our fairytale - Beauty and the Beast

but it was the wrong fairy tale.

Still wrong story. Then we looked here:
we were ready to give up when some cast members took pity on us and found Gaston! We were wisked away to the Towne Square Exposition Hall and right into a room where - GASP - Gaston was there. There were not very many people there and he saw her come into the room and said - I see you Belle. I knew you would be back! Abigail had a giggle and a pose:
Gaston then took the book out of her hands and began to role play with her - and she played along. It was too cute. Abigail then sang him a song. Here is the video:

After meeting Gaston, we watched part of the parade and my little 11 and 1/2 year old was very tired and had to be up at 7AM the next morning for a rehearsal - so we called it a night and left around 11:30.
Great night, great cast members and great memories at this years MNSSHP.

thanks for sharing your pics and video - will be there in 2 weeks with my DD and DGrD - hoping that our Friday night crowds are like the ones you had.
