Great. My 8 year old has the flu.

He started coughing (dry cough) on Friday. By yesterday he had a highish temp (102.8), a head ache, and his cough was worse. I really thought it was a sinus infection.

He's been coughing right in front of us and has slept with us the past two nights. I know we're going to get it. Ugh.

I feel you. My son has a good case of the sniffles and now has a low grade fever. It gets worse though. We are spending Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at my brother's and I just learned he has strep. Man I don't want strep!

Yeah. . .I hope your son feels better before Christmas and I hope you and your DH don't end up with it. We've been ODing on vitamin C. . .those Emegen-C things. I'm hoping it works.

Your brother should be fine by Friday if he' on antibiotics. I hope your ds feele better.

DD's best friend is getting over mono and ended up in the hospital last night with influenza. Poor kid.

Sorry to hear about both sick children on this thread, but on the bright side, it should be over by Christmas!

Now - the trick is to keep everyone else in the family from catching it.. I would be taking every precaution possible..

Hope the little ones feel better soon - and no one else gets sick..

Ugh. Merry Christmas. Not. I brought home the flu from the hospital on Dec. 23 a few years ago. Sickest i have EVER been. Two days later, on Christmas Day, DH came down with it too. All i remember is DS, then 3, standing at the end of my bed saying ,"Nobody should be sick on Christmas." Let's hope ya'll are fever & flu free by Friday.
