Great Lego Race still a VR coaster with headsets?

Lots of recent photos of this coaster show all guests NOT wearing headsets. There are two descriptions on the Legoland website, one mentions VR, the other doesn't and neither mention headsets. Curious if the headsets are being used now, or have been removed for Covid or other reasons? Anyone ridden recently and can tell me?
