I always think we should also share when companies do something right!
I was trying to get the Amazon Duracell battery rebate offer and ordered over $39 worth of rechargable batterries and the recharger. Anyway, the order is already processed except for the AAA batteries which they said wouldn't be avaiable until Jan. I was okay with that, but then I get another e-mail stating that they won't be coming at all, they can't get them and they've cancelled that part of my order. The problem is that now I don't have $39 worth of purchase to qualify for the rebate and if I place another order, I'll have to pay shipping, which pretty much makes the $10 rebate worthless.
Long story short, thanks to a wonderful poster on this board who shared the Amazon customer service number, I was able to call them and order AA batteries instead and they waived the shipping for me once I explained the situation!
It wasn't a huge deal, but it definitely makes me a happy customer and I thought I'd share my good customer service story!
