We went to MK on Friday and decided to try Ohana again for dinner. Dh and I had been once...before dd was born, so about 3 1/2 years ago! We didn't really have any fond memories of the restaurant, so it was never on our "to do" list. I thought the activities and view might keep DD, 2 1/2, occupied while we ate dinner. We had a 6:40 ps, but were starving by 5pm, so we left MK and headed over to the Poly on the monorail. Not too many people waiting....yet. They did not have a problem with us checking in early. We had about a 20 minute wait before we were seated at the best table in the restaurant.....right next to the window....smack dab in front of the castle! It would have been a wonderful seat for Wishes!! Our starters were brought out within 5 minutes of being seated. We loved the wontons and asked for more! I also enjoyed the salad, fried rice and green beans. I didn't want to fill up on the chicken wings, but dh said they were good. The food was brought out so fast! The steak was tender and tasty! DH really liked the shrimp. I thought the pork was very good too. Turkey was good, not dry...but I prefered the pork and steak. DH and I loved the peanut/terriyaki dipping sauce and I really enjoyed the cilantro ginger too!
Tons of kids, so the coconut races were like a zoo. DD wanted to try, but I think she would have been trampled. Our server brought her some gummy worms even though she didn't participate in the games. Enjoyed the music too!
Pineapple and carmel was yummy! Service was pretty good. I think we will go back again in May! DD reached her limit after 30 minutes...but dh and I were still trying to squeeze a few more wontons in
I think we were there for about an hour. We used the dde card to save 20%, so our bill with the 20% added back in for a tip came to $55. We will be back in May!!
By the time we left...the lobby area was a complete zoo!! A very big difference from when we arrived at 5:30pm. Thanks for reading!
