I have long since determined that renting a condo off site would be the best deal for our family size! I'd love to stay on site, but even with discounts it is still out of our budget!

I came across this site that rents condos at Windsor Hills:

http://vacationcentralflorida.com

But the deals really come in when you subscribe to their newsletter! I subscribed about a year ago and I frequently get emails from them with deals for week long condo rentals for as low as $199 a week!! While they are somewhat "last minute" they are consistant! If you are willing to not book until a month or two before your trip, you can save ALOT of money! If these deals were few and far between, I wouldn't consider it but I get emails for these deals all the time!! Definitely worth subscribing too if you are looking for a budget vacation where you can hopefully get more bang for your buck! :)

Also, their regular pricing really isn't that bad. $700 a week (including tax, etc..) for a 2 or 3 bedroom condo that is NICE, access to a pool, relatively close to the parks, laundry facilities and a full kitchen.. yeah, way cheaper then a suite elsewhere! We are a family of 6 and we'd either have to book 2 adjoining rooms or get a suite and even at the off site places, it is expensive! I really think this place is the bigger bang for your buck, especially if you have a larger family! :)

I just got an email from them and they have a TON of 2 and 3 bedroom condos available for $299 a week plus tax and cleaning fee! All for the month of September, they have availabilities the entire month! Just FYI! :thumbsup2

We used them on our last trip to DW. We can't do the last minute deals because of school schedules but I will definitely stay there again.

i put in my dates for next march, and it told me EVERYTHING was unavailable, except the RV. :rotfl:

That seems odd. If you pick one of the units, you can look at the availability calendar (keep scrolling down the page). The one I checked said all of March 2014 was open.

Yep, I put in our dates on the availability calendar and everything came up unavailable. I'm going to try again later from my computer (using my phone right now).

just tried from my computer. put in our dates march 26-30, 2014, and everything is unavailable. changed the dates to march 24-28, 2014, still nothing available. tried march 23-29, 2014, still nothing.

Do you have to stay for a whole week? I just put in Sept 20-25th and it came up with nothing available also. We're just looking for those first few nights before we move into the Beach Club Villas, but we definitely need separate sleeping spaces.

I was browsing the site myself and found this statement on this page: http://vacationcentralflorida.com/calendar.html. It's probably the reason the website is showing nothing available for requested dates.

Enter your SATURDAY Check-in to SATURDAY Check-out dates by clicking the button below. We book only SATURDAY to SATURDAY, but be sure to let us know if your dates are NOT Saturday to Saturday. Many times we can accomodate you. -Dave
