Here is the link to all the LG washer/dryers that are available in clearance. There are also many samsungs available as well. The washer and dryer I wanted was in another state, so I went to my local best buy and they were able to call the location that had it and set up a transfer free of charge. So if you see one in a different location write down the sku and go to your best buy to put in a transfer. (You may also want to write down some backups just in case the location is sold out - this happened to me the washer I really wanted was sold out but my second choice wasnt). They also have free delivery right now with a purchase of $400 or more. Hope this helps!

When you go to the best buy website if you scroll to shops and deals and then click on instore clearance and open box that will show you what is in your local stores. I actually changed the link so that it searches all stores instead of just local stores.

I'm glad you all were able to grab some. I was amazed at how cheap they gotten but I talked to the sales associate and he said they are just making room for the newer models. I just received mines Friday....its so exciting!

boo hoo- I did not need a washer when this thread was started and now I do.

I just purchased a new HE washer from a discount place. I think it's an older model. It works great. It's a top load.

Question does anyone know where I put scent boosters in the machine? Mine has a spot for detergent, fabric softener and one for bleach. I also wondered about Oxy Clean type stuff (I buy some from the $1 store). The operating guide says not to put anything in with the clothes.

Bad news for me was I ended up giving away a few bottles of detergent since they didn't have HE on them. My mom and dad were happy as I gave them to them.

great info. However not all of the washers and dryers fall into that category. For example the washer I purchased was not on the list. I would say everyone just research reviews about the model you are considering.

Thanks to the OP we were looking into getting a new set also.
In OH our utility co is offering $50 rebate for energy savings. Also we can sell our old set and recover another $100 of our cost.

So sad I missed this one! I hesitated, waiting to see if my DH would want to drive to pick it up. He called and said yes and it was gone! None to be found in New England as far as I can see but if anyone sees any anywhere , please let me know.
