On our recent trip to the CR, I contacted guest services about my wife's birthday and my in-laws anniversary. I was just hoping for a card and maybe a balloon for them.

When we returned to our room after a long day at Epcot, my 4 year old son said "guys look what they did". The staff of the hotel decorated our entire room with balloons and left a gift for each of us. They gave my wife a Pal Mickey, my son a special jumbo halloween pin and pin trading case, my daughter a large fuzzy pooh, my in-laws a nice disney frame and myself a stuffed mickey. It was an amazing experience.

Matthew, a CM in guest services, left a message saying that he enjoyed his interaction with me and that "Mickey" wanted to make our visit special.

It made our trip wonderful.

Needless to say, letters are going out to the management of the CR and the WDW president complementing his efforts. I have no idea if the letter will ever reach the desk of the powers that be, but I am going to try and return the favor for an awesome CM!!!

The CR (CL) staff has been so wonderful in the past that we have gone so far as to send flowers/chocolates back to them thanking them for making our trip Magical!!!!

That is so great to hear, I am glad when I can hear wonderful stories. Especially about the resorts I love.
 

That was so sweet of them. Do you mind me asking how you call guest services? We will be there for dds bday and I wanted to offer to pay for the balloon and card to be sent to our room. I have no idea to call and ask. Again, I want to offer to pay. I am not expecitng anything special. I am glad you had a great stay. Where did you stay...tower or garden? We are so excited to go there!
 
We were staying in the Tower in a standard room. It was our first stay in a deluxe and it will be hard to stay anywhere else.

I actually wrote a snail-mail letter to guest services about 10 days before my stay. I just told them about our family and all of our events. I was not expecting much at all.

I can't believe anyone is against the Year of a Million Dreams. I know that wasn't an official dream, but it seems the cast has been empowered to make incredible stuff happen.

I am so glad that you had such a great experience at CR and I have to agree that the CM at CR are really great! We had an awesome CM when we were staying at CR as well, and had a really magical experience there and I send a letter to them when we returned, and about a week later my dh and I got a phone call from the executive office at Disneyworld to acknowledge our letter/thank you card and told us how much they appreciate the time we took to send them the letter and card.
