We just got back from a 2 night Concierge Collection stay at the Resort at Squaw Creek in Tahoe. Beautiful resort, easy to book and use up some extra points. Although many say trading out isn't a good deal, this wasn't too bad. We paid 34 pts per night for a 1 BR fireplace suite with a view of the valley and Squaw ski resort. (lowest VGC pts are 31 for a 1BR) And a delicious breakfast buffet was included for all of us.
But.....the suite was about 1/2 the size of our beloved VGC and only had small galley kitchen (stovetop, small dishwasher, mini fridge, micro) and 1 bathroom! We've now been officially spoiled, all I could think about the whole trip was how the room couldn't compare to the spaciousness of the VGC villa we stayed in last month. We'll probably stay at Squaw again (only 1hr from our house), but it made me really appreciate our DVC accomodations!
And to my VGC owner friends, no I didn't use my sacred VGC points for this trade. I used up some extra SSR points I couldn't bank.
