A week before leaving we found out that Budget had canceled the wrong reservation for us (we had two, one with an upgrade coupon and one without - they canceled the one with the upgrade coupon attached and changing the other would have increased our rate by almost $300!!) so I made three phone calls and spent an hour and a half on the phone, they promised to refund the cost of an upgrade on our rental after the rental was over. I was a tad concerned about all of this, but the rate was too good to let go of so we kept the reservation.
We arrived at the Fastbreak line around 6pm on Wednesday Oct. 20th, I talked to the guy and told him what had happened, he said not to worry about it and upgraded us for free to a premium car!
So my DH got his dream Buick LeSabre to drive for two weeks! We spent about 2 minutes at the counter and off to the car we went! That was it! It took us much longer to get all the car seats installed and the bags in the trunk!
We fit two huge suitcases in the trunk, a huge stroller bag with a jogging stroller, and on the way home we added two large duffle bags to the mix, everything fit - yay!!
The car was clean, ran well, and that XM radio was pretty darn cool too!
I would highly recommend Budget after this one, they were awesome!
