Has anyone taken the Disney bus from LAX to a Disneyland resort hotel? If so how long was the ride? After talking to the husband I'm debating if we should just suck it up and ride the shuttle seeing as it's already paid for.

Once you're out of the airport, it takes as long as it takes to use the HOV lanes from Los Angeles to Anaheim. I'd say about 40 minutes. Once you're in the resort area, they quite often stop first at Disneyland Hotel. If that's your resort, yay! If not, you'll pay and then either continue on that bus or change buses.

One note though...it's not included unless you bought a package that includes it (and you would have been charged extra). Since it's not run by Disney (which you know as you referred to it as the Gray Line bus) it's not something that's automatic. But yeah, if you paid for it, take it.

Thanks! I'm thinking we'll just take a chance on the bus. I won a trip and it has vouchers for the bus so we may as well use them. Hopefully my lil man doesn't drive us insane. Lol

We always try to take the grayline bus. For me, it is the most comfortable and safe ride. It usually has disney characters on it, so my kids feel the disney magic starting at the airport. We took cabs and shuttles in the past and it was too crazy for me. I found them dingy and the drives drove like maniacs.

Unfortunately the bus from LAX no longer has characters on it. It's just a big white bus! But it's still our favourite way to get to Disneyland.

We just returned from our trip and used the Disneyland Resort Express bus (the Gray line buses) The LAX buses are ALL white. Only if you fly into SNA will they be decorated with Disney. We had a VERY UN DISNEY driver, and it took an hour (the bus broke down on the freeway for a few minutes). After stopping at Disneyland Hotel, and getting a new bus, that driver was very Disney (friendly, happy, informative, etc.) and for our return trip to LAX, it went smoothly as well, and they were playing a movie that time, so my kids were entertained.
