Gray hair is hereditary -- you get it from your children.

When I came home from work yesterday, my almost-12-year-old daughter told me that she broke her braces -- two brackets fell off. Actually, it was worse than that -- two broken brackets, two mangled brackets and the wiring is all bent. Immediately I began to see $$$$ -- the orthodontist is going to love us.

So I asked her how she managed this disaster.

Seems she went to a friend's pool party yesterday. she didn't realize how shallow the water was, and decided to dive into the pool!

thank G-d that ALL she did was break her braces and bite her lip.

this is not a stupid child. this is the child who thinks the teacher hates her if she gets a "B" instead of an "A". so I'm at a loss to explain how she could dive into shallow water like that...

Lord give me strength....

If you go to the drug store and buy the little box that says Clairol on it it helps immensely, lol! :p Seriously though thankfully she was not hurt! People tell me when they get to their teenage years their brains somehow stop, turn off, ignore you whatever---thank goodness I was never like that! ;)

My almost 2 year old fell down our front steps on Sunday. Fortunately it was only 2 steps and she didn't get hurt, but yeah I got about 20 more grays for that one. Time to break out the haircolor.

Is that why I have so many gray hairs to hide already!? LOL Nice and easy works wonders! :) Glad your daughter's okay.

Just be glad your DD did not get hurt. So many people get hurt by diving in shallow water. Most end up with fractured necks and backs. Don't worry about the brackets...just be glad she is safe!

Happy weekend!!

Michelle, you have no idea what scary images ran through my head when I heard...

I couldn't yell at her or lecture her...by the time I got home, she'd already heard the safety lecture from her grandma and two aunts.

AMEN!! I have a head full.
