Gratuity question for large party on the Dining Plan...

Ok. Got another question. We have 2 families of 4 going to Disney. We both have the Dining plan. If we make a reservation together, we are a party of 8. I know that they automaticly add 18% gratuity on parties of 6 or more. Will the gratuity be split between 2 bills or will one have to pay the gratuity on their card for the whole party? Also, do you have the option to pay tips in cash or must it be charged to your card? Thanks. Hope that wasn't confusing......lol

I can't answer the question about the gratuity, however you can certainly pay the tip in cash.

Let the server know which meals are on which tab and they'll provide you with separate checks at the end of the meal. From what I've read in the past, they'll add the gratuity to each check. You can pay the gratuity (and whatever else isn't covered by the DDP) with cash or however you want.

The gratuity will be on the bills separately as long as you ask for separate checks. We always needs 2-3 bills at WDW and it's never been an issue.
