Hello all,

Just wondering if I can tip my servers at Disney's restaurants with my credit card if I have a dining plan paid for. Any insight is appreciated!

Thanks!

Credit card, cash, or your room key charge. The tip and any other items you have ordered that are not on the DDP will be on a separte slip. You'll sign a "zero" slip for the DDP items, and another slip for any other charges.

If I tip in cash I always write "cash" on the tip line so it doesn't inadvertantly get charged. I've been lucky so far, but others have reported the tip also being charged to their room key when they left cash. There are other threads on how to avoid this, but I've always reviewed my dining account and room charges at my resort guest services desk every few days to avoid problems.

Please check the Tipping Information sticky thread at the top of this board- all gratuity discussion and questions must be on this thread.

The first post has an FAQ, and the answer to your question is there.

I am closing this thread, as tipping discussion of any kind is limited to that thread. The first post will give you an explanation of why the Restaurant Boards have a dedicated tipping thread.
