When they say they add an 18% gratuity to a party of six would this mean for 2 adults and 4 kids or would it be for parties of adults?

I have no problem with the gratuity but want to make sure I budget correctly.

Everyone at that table. Including babies.

But most people tip around that anyway, so it shouldn't be much different than normal. :)

If you have a serious problem that makes you not want to pay the autotip for the large group, talk to a manager as soon as possible. That way you can try to *solve* the problem before it gets really bad!

It means 6 people- I believe even if 1 is an infant. If you have 6 bodies at the table you will be automatically charged gratuity.

We are a party of 6 (one is an infant, who we will not be ordering food for), and I was told even though we will be ordering only 5 meals, we will still be charged the automatic 18%. Does anyone know if they charge 18% at a buffet as well? Thanks, Linda

They still charge 18% for buffets. We are a family of 6 and I am frustrated that we are forced to tip someone the same amount to hopefully refill drinks and take plates as we would to have our whole meal served.

You should really take this conversation to the tipping sticky @ the top of the board - separate tipping discussions are not permitted on the DIS boards.

Yes, please see hte sticky on tipping at th e top of the board. Read post 1, should answer all your questions

thanks everyone!
