Just for the record, these have got to be one of the most disgusting insects ever! We are completely infested with these stupid things here this summer that I don't even like to go outside! One of radio stations held a contest to give 2 tickets to an Elton John concert to the person who collected the most grasshoppers. Some lady actually caught 39,000 of them in a weekend (which just goes to show you how many of them there are!). I'm totally grossed out by this - just the logistics of catching those horrible things, let alone counting them - eewww!
Anyways, I had one stuck on my shoulder in our truck today. Thankfully my DH lied to me and said there was nothing there (even though I could swear I felt something poking me through the holes on my lace blouse!). When we got out, he came over and opened the back door and shooed out a nasty grasshopper! I guess he knows me well enough that if I had seen it I probably would have jumped out while we were driving! I guess he really must love me!
I for one, can't wait until it snows!!
