How many here use a graphics tablet for their editing?????

I have a 12x12 Wacom Intuos 3. OK, DH has the tablet, but I get to use it.

I have a 4X6 Wacom. I got is shortly after Christmas but I have not used it much. I hope to start using it a lot more now.

I picked up a Wacom Graphire4 4x5... for $80 it is a GREAT first tablet.

I love it for graphics editing. The pressure sensitivity is very nice and the control is so much better than a mouse.

Oh, jeez. I'd never heard of these until I read this thread and then did a little research. Now you've got me thinking about getting one!

DH has used them for his work for years. He is actually on his second tablet here at home, he wore the first one out. I started using his a few months ago and now we fight over it when he is home.

I have heard the analogy that using a mouse for editing is like trying to draw with a bar of soap. It is true. I have found it hard to go back to the mouse for detail work.

Being able to vary the pressure on the pen or stylus and have that affect the results does sound like that's some pretty fine detail work that can be done.
