That's what I'm hoping for. My cousin and I really want to take him around Food & Wine fest for a few hours one day just to eat the food. Bundled up in a wheelchair or however we can get him. And perhaps a few hours riding around SSR's many walkways and enjoying the beautiful views. I think having a little last Disney outing before he spends the next weeks stuck at home recuperating will do him good. But it's all up to him and how well he recovers.
I've been the rehab route many times before myself. Having JRA as a kid meant surgery and multiple rounds of PT. I learned to walk again more times than I can count. So I know his road well. It's only the heart issues that complicate matters. But the docs have me convinced that's more an age issue and just typical for a 76 yo who puts himself under stress. It's God's way of slowing him down.
Worse comes to worse, my cousin and I will be bring F&W food samples to him.
