Nothing major - just having her tonsils and adenoids out - but since this is her first time having general anesthesia, we're a little on edge..

Keep a good thought and sprinkle a little pixie dust on her - okay?

Prayers and hugs! We went through this when DD was 5 about a year and 1/2 ago. It's a bit of a long recovery (at home)...keep her happy with plenty of ice pops, icees, and milkshakes (our surgeon recommended sucking through straws as much as possible).

Our prayers and thoughts are with you. Our DD just had hers out two weeks ago today and is doing well. She will feel better soon - after lots of ice cream..

We went through this last year. The first few days were really rough on my dd, but after that it was hard to keep her from over doing it. My thoughts our with your family. Give her a hug and lots of popsicles.

In case they don't tell you, don't let her pain meds wear off. It's harder for them to swallow it when it starts to hurt.

My son had his out a year ago. Lots of prayers your way for a speedy recovery. Remember to chew gum. It helps with the healing proccess. After sleeping it was the worst. Everything was dry. The gum helped.

She's out of surgery and recovery and all is well..

They're giving her popscicles and such right now and if she holds them down okay she should be home in a couple of hours.. No school for 7 days though (the surgeon said there are too many germs floating around this time of year) so I guess I'll be playing nurse for awhile..

Phew! So glad that is over - and thanks so much for all of the good wishes, thoughts, prayers and pixie dust.. I told her about the pixie dust before she left the house and she thought that was the neatest thing ever!!
