Looking into renting the grand1 for 13 people for the wishes fireworks.
Is it comfortable for 13 people (4 are kids)? Does anyone have pictures of the Grand1? Has anyone ordered food and how much did it cost?
Was it worth it??

But will bump this back to first page for you,in hope someone can give you some info. :goodvibes :wizard: :wave2:

Grand One Yacht is 400.00 per hour.

It is 200.00 per extra 1/2 hour and 400.00 per extra hour.

It does hold 13 people max.

You would need to call the Grand Floridian Marina direct at 407 824 2439

This can be booked 90 days in advance.

Haven't found a picture yet but found this on MousePlanet

A new Grand One, the luxury yacht at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, now is sailing around Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake.

The new boat replaces the previous Grand One yacht. It's a 48-foot-long, 48-motor Sea Ray that can reach speeds of up to 36 miles per hour. It features three fully furnished staterooms, a small kitchen, and dining area, a microwave oven, heating and air conditioning, a 12-kilowatt generator that can light up three houses, four televisions, and a Bose audio system. Should the yacht ever leave the lagoon and lake area, a satellite link to the Global Positioning System can track the Grand One within a foot, anywhere on the planet.

I so cannot wait to do my cruise in July!! Hurry up July!! I've seen a picture of it somewhere, I think in sombody's write ups on allearsnet when I found it I had done a search on their site for Grand 1.

As for worth it I can't say yet since our cruise is in July butI personally can't wait it is going to be a great way for us to end our wedding day. My fiance and I wanted to do something special for those who will be attending our wedding, and we wanted to do something that some of our family had not done. The cruise for us is that opportunity. Our hope is that everyone will have a good time. We're not doing any food because we will have just eaten at O'Hanas.

I thought another DISer names Janet2K had a lot of info on this, but perhaps I'm mistaken. We were allowed to take a couple of pics on the Grand 1 in Jan 2004, not sure if this is the same one as they have now, while we waited for our DS to get back from the pirate cruise. I'll try to see if I can find it online and send it to you in a PM! :)
