Grand villas gone at OKW at 9:10

I had a little more trouble getting through today and then MS had a little trouble with the computer. By that time it was 9:10 and all the grand villas were gone for the last night of our reservation. So now we only have two nights and are on the waitlist for the last one. Not sure what to do. We were trying to take my MIL.

It is 11 months. To complicate things MIL doesn't do well with stairs so the CM I spoke to yesterday called special services to guarantee us a grand villa in an elevator building. He was able to go ahead and do it for the 3 nights (and he told me just to make sure I called back at 9:00 today) so not sure if how or if not getting the last night will effect this. We have 7 in our party. This is the first time I have tried to get a grand villa and the first time MIL has gone to disney in 20 years so I really want it to work out.

might just change everything to - two bedroom plus either a 1-bedroom or studio - depending upon your points.

then get them in the same building on the first floor.

grand villa are nice - but even the ones in the building with elevators have steps inside them.

so would go with a 2-bedroom + - so everything is one the same floor for your MIL

At this point I'd be very confident that the waitlist will work for you - I would, however, check in with MS in a few weeks if you have not heard anything by that time.

We had the same thing happen trying to get a GV at HH for next summer. I had already gotten the first 4 nights and still had 2 more to secure. I called right at 9:00am and there were none left. I did call the next day and was able to get the final day - but now we had 4 nights - a 2BR/Studio - and one night. I asked to go on the waitlist. About 2 weeks later, I received a confirmation for the missing night and called to verify that we now had all 6 nights.

If you caan, go ahead and reserve the 2BR/Studio for the last night - but stay on the waitlist. I will be very surprised if the waitlist does not come thru for you.

Thanks Doc. If I go ahead and reserve a 2BR/Studio for the last night can they automatically cancel it out if the grand villa comes through. I am borrowing points for the last night of the reservation. If not I could maybe reserve at another home resort. Also, do you think that my elevator building confirmation that was set up through special services will be ok even though my last night was not available yet? The CM yesterday went ahead and put the 3 nights for me since he thought I would get the last one today.

I got today (31st) no problem. We were originally only going to try for 3 days but decided to go ahead and add a couple more days. The CM today was very fast. Yesterday it took me a couple minutes longer to get through and the CM was very slow. She lost it right before she got to the final step. If I am successful tomorrow we will only have the one day waitlisted in the middle. If not I may redo things at some point. I would hate to rely on 2 days coming through on the waitlist.

I called this morning and was lucky enough to get an AKV concierge room for the one night I needed. Today was the first day of the 7-month window.

Saturday I will start calling for my OKW GV.

Good luck for Saturday. I wound up getting every day in the grand villa except for the 30th right in the middle. We have a 2 bedroom and a studio at BCV as a backup but I am really hoping I get lucky and the waitlist comes through.
