How far in advance do you book a grand villa at SSR? What month is better to get a grand villa?

When I have booked a GV it has been at the 11 month point but I wanted it for Christmas the second time we did it and the first time was my first ever reservation so I wasn't taking any chances. This was at OKW but I think any GV should be booked as soon as you can from the 11 month window. I have a friend who was able to get one at OKW at only 6 months out near Spring break week but I wouldn't take a chance if it is really important to you. If you have flexability I would try from one of the lower point times if you can book again at 11 months. I hope to do one for the first or second week in December for the lower points and the cooler weather as well as the holiday decorations. If enough family can agree to then I will be on the phone at the earliest possible date.

At the 11 month, if you can and early June is a good month! I've gotten an OKW GV at the 6 month mark (in early June) but there's no guarantee!

I think its kind of tricky because on the one hand the points are much higher during the busy season so some people shy away from those times. Consequently, I think some people like to take advantage of when the points are lower. With the Grand Villas there is obviously limited availability at each resort so I think the 11 month window is definately when you want to call. Sometimes too I think luck plays into it.
