Grand Villa @ 7 month window?

Is it ever possible to secure a grand villa reservation at the 7 month window during the summer (June - August)?

Is so, which would provide the best chance... OKW, AKV, BWV, or SSR?

Anything is possible, especially if you are flexible with your dates and resorts. I don't know which is most likely but BWV is difficult because there are so few GVs. We just reserved one for next October and did it day by day for the F&W Festival.

I don't know about the summer, but we were able to get a GV for Easter week at the 7th month window at SSR. AKV was also available for the same dates. I was hoping for OKW because of the lower points, but not all of our nights were available. Good luck!

We have a GV at BWV for this Christmas-New Years. I was very surprised that I got one for that time of the year even at the 11 month window. I made our res's day by day and managed to get all of it without wait listing at all.

With that all said, I guess anything would be possible for the window you indicated, but that's a very busy time of the year for BWV. All's they can say is not available.

We got an AKV grand villa at the 7 month mark for the end of May so that is pretty close to your dates. I called day by day and had no problem at all.

Getting an OKW summer date GV at 7-months will be very difficult. Summer is very popular for families, especially since the kids are out of school, thus the GV is popular. And because the OKW GV points are considerably less than the other resorts' GV's, and the OKW GV's themselves larger than the ones at the other resorts, they go quickly.

Diane is our OKW GV expert and can tell what your chances might be.

That was kind of my thinking Caskbill. Summer is about the only time our families would be able to mutually agree on something. A large family gathering like that is not something we'd do often. Maybe every 3 years or so. Might be worth a small OKW add on.

But you'll have to plan on having enough OKW points to make that reservation at 11 months. You can't use other resort points at 11 months at OKW.

You might be better off getting a two bedroom and a one bedroom or studio.

Thanks. Yeah I guess that's an easier and probably cheaper alternative.
I guess I'm just looking too hard for an excuse to add on another resort.

Getting the separate one bedroom also provides refuge for your family if things get ugly.
