Do I need to make a PS for this ~ I am going to treat my parents during our trip in a few weeks and would like to pay in advance if possible so that they can just turn up and enjoy a relaxing treat.
I would go ahead and make the ADR....the Garden View Lounge is pretty small and can fill up quickly if there are a couple of groups in there. I tried just walking up a few years ago, and had to wait for about 30-40 minutes.
You're going to love the Tea, it's a lovely, relaxing way to spend an afternoon. If you're not staying at the GF, be sure to take a stroll around the grounds afterwards and enjoy the beautiful gardens, beach, etc.
Im thinking of taking my mil she gives a tea every CHristmas and goes all out and would just adore this.. What is the dress code for this and is there a set time?

According to Allearsnet, they serve tea from 2PM to 4:30 PM. Here's the menu .
There's no dress code that I know of, but I personally would wear at least a business-casual type outfit. Casual slacks and a polo shirt, something like that. You will see some people in theme-park wear, and some people do dress up for this. It's a small lounge with elegant garden-room furnishings, and a quiet atmosphere.
I had an ADR for 3:30. We arrived around 15 minutes early and were told we would not be seated until 3:30. And they were true to their word. Every table was filled, and there is not that much seating to begin with.
I overheard them say they had to turn away some walk ups. (Larger groups though.) Near the end of the tea hours, they did take in a walk up party of 2.
