the 4 of us in work have done a mini sweepstake, each putting in £2, drawing 10 names and the winner gets £5, 2nd place gets £2 and 3rd gets £1
my colleague is travelling up today to go to the races, a xmas pressie for her husband, and Lee has given her £5 to place on 'offshore account' to win. (appropriate for him as an ex-Cayman islands dweller)

Hmmm...nothing really stands out for me either.

Think it will have to be £5 on Stan and another £5 on the 200/1 outsider :goodvibes

I will probably put on a couple of 5.00 bets, not sure who I'll bet on just yet :)

I had comply or die which won last year but I doubt it will come anywhere this year...nothing is jumping out at me just yet..

so far John has ....my will and comply or die and ive got...big fella thanks and can't buy time :)

I love the National and I'm not quite sure how I've managed it but I've backed the winner for the last three years  I put a few bets on earlier in the week before the odds started dropping. I've backed Comply or Die again just because he won for me last year and I'm liking Snowy Morning (it's dd's favourite book), have My Will in the sweep at work, and I also popped a couple of bets on Rambling Minster, Hear the Echo and I've forgotten the name of the other one. DH thinks I'm mad :goodvibes

My DH got Irish Invader in a sweep in work. Usually he gets the 200-1 shots ;)

I got Brooklyn Brownie & Parsons Legacy in our sweep at work. Parson's doesn't look too bad.

I'm going for Black Apalachi tomorrow for my bet too :thumbsup2 I never win though, I only put a bet on this one race all year, in memory of my Granddad who passed away March 31st and he was very much into his horse racing

First past the post will win.not bothering as its a waste of time (spent too long in bookies when younger).
You dont see a poor bookie only poor punters.

I will have to go for Eurotrek as we will be driving through Europe as usual this summer to get to Spain so sounds good for me.

I picked Darkness out at the sweep in work, so will have a little bet on that at the bookies as well:goodvibes

Who's been down to the bookies this morning ? I have ..

I've got a fiver each on My Will and Hear the Echo to win

:wizard::wizard:Good Luck Everyone:wizard::wizard:

Ian put all of his bet money on Cornish Set, while I split mine over four My Will because its a nice story, Brooklyn Brownie because I love brownies, Big Fella Thanks *** Nat always seems to win and Stan because he has a cool name. Its the only race we ever have a bet on, so its our annual flutter.

I have money on Hear the Echo and Comply or Die, GF have put a bet on the outsider Can't Buy Time. All on each-way.

Fingers crossed. :shamrock:
