My hope was to stay at WBC, Grand Beach, Vistana Resort or Vistana Villages...but my delay in booking has left me with Grand Lakes or Vacation Villages. I prefer smaller units, no more than 3 story places...that does not look like VV...so would Grand Lakes be a better option? And are both about the same distance from WDW? Vistana Villages is not real close, and actually may be farther than either of these two places. Thoughts? Comments? Ideas??

I havent stayed at either. But have been past Grand Lakes, it is only 2 or 3 stories. Doesnt seem like anything too fancy. But i have no idea.
My niece stayed at vv and didnt mind it. She said the units weren't big.
But the pool areas were nice.

We have stayed in both places. If you like small condo areas, then Grand Lake is your better choice. It is close to Disney. The resort area is older, but it is very well maintained. The staff there was awesome! My boys loved the lake area and the swimming pool. Vacation Villages are huge buildings very close together. They are newer and have tons of planned activities. They are close to Disney also. They are not as personal as Grand Lake. The condos are in good shape, but parking is challenging there. I was there alone with my boys and didn't like having to park so far away from the condos in the dark.

Thanks for your responses....very helpful !!!! I will target Grand Lake as my preferred option.
