Grand Gathering May 08 at WL...Update: more shirt pics!

Hello and Welcome to my first trip report!

My family and I will be traveling to WDW May 3rd -10th, 2008.


Cast:Me 33-I have become a Disney crazed planner since I found the DIS
DH 34-Accepts my OCD planning and loves me anyway
DD 4-Truly a princess in training and cannot wait to ride all 40" rides
DD 3-Likes the princesses but seems to be open to any Disney character

Also along for half of the trip are my SIL, BIL, and DN 9months.

Alrighty, so where was I?

Oh Yes, our itinerary.

One of the first decisions we had to make for our trip was where to stay. I knew that I wanted to stay on Disney property but was not sure if everyone would go for that. I really wanted to stay on property and have the magic 24/7.

Finally, we all agreed to these reservations:

The first night, Saturday, May 3rd, we are stopping somewhere in Valdosta to spend the night and break up the drive for the girls.

Starting Sunday, May 4th, we are all staying off property at Cypress Pointe Grand Villas for 3 nights.

DH, myself and DDs will stay in a two bedroom unit with my parents, while my in-laws will stay in a two bedroom unit with my sister-in-law and brother in-law and my 9 month old neice.



So after 3 nights the condo, my family and parents will move to the WL
Currently we are booked for a woods view but my parents have offered to pay the difference for both our rooms if we can get a Courtyard view.

Meanwhile, others in our group will move to a another hotel near the Downtown Disney area where they can use some points and Sister-in-law and Brother-in-law will travel home with their 9 month old daughter.


Weekly Itinerary:
Saturday-Leave Atl and stop in Valdosta
Sunday-Leave Valdosta and arrive in Orlando. Check in to Cypress Pointe. Relax, swim, and gear up for a busy and magical week
Monday-EPCOT
Dinner-San Angel Inn

Tuesday-Animal Kingdom

Wednesday-Move to WL
Swim, relax, rent little mouse boats on lake. Enjoy resort!!
Dinner-Whispering Cayon Cafe

Thursday-Magic Kingdom
Breakfast-CRT
Dinner-CP

Friday- Free time at WL. Swim, relax and have the girls hopefully NAP
Dinner-Chef Mickey's
Pirate and Princess Party

Saturday-Drive Home

I called the Reservations line this afternoon and they were able to upgrade my WL ressies from Woods view to Courtyard View.
I am working on my itineraries for each day at the parks and will post them soon.

I messed this shirt up by not using "Dark transfer paper" Oh well, live and learn.

These are our shirts to wear to the P&PP if we get tired of our costumes

These are shirts for the girls that I bought at the Disney Store. It is just so appropriate!

To date I have made 14 t-shirts and I have 1 more to go.

Wow!!! All of these shirts are amazing!!

I haven't tried these yet...I assume you just print from your computer onto special paper designed for t-shirts and then you iron it on?

I requested the designs from the Creative DISigners thread. Then you just print them on transfer paper and iron the transfer on the shirts. I have had fun with the shirts and it has helped pass the time before our trip.

I was finishing up my ABC book last night and used one of your designs from my final page! It's the one that spells out a word with each of the characters. I had this scrapbook paper that had small 1" blocks of the 6 main characters and used my Cricut to cut out a letter for each one.

I probably never would have tried that, except for your thread -- so THANKS!!

Thanks! I am usually not that creative either. That's why I let the DISigners create the designs and I just ironed them one. I needed something to do to pass the time. I've been planning this trip for a year and a half
