Has anyone done this? I am second guessing our reservations for this one because we will be at Epcot this night and it will cause us to miss Illuminations. I guess we could always hop back over to Epcot on the Magic Kingdom night. Anyhow just was talked into this by TA and wondering if anyone had done it and was it "worth it" There are 21 in our group and we have just about all evening dinners scheduled together so I don't think it that necessary to group everyone back up for this if it is just a bad view of Fireworks. What do you think?

Best view is obviously Main Street, and to me it would be a hassle getting on and off a boat for the fireworks. When they're over I'm ready to move on to something else. Don't miss Illuminations when you go its awesome!

We did this a few years back. My FIL had been diagnosed with stomach cancer and we weren't sure how long we'd have him. Throughout the years he and my MIL had shared the love of Disney with the kids. My husband and his sister in turn shared that love with their kids. Since we were all together I decided to do something magical for the group. Not only did we do the cruise but I had it catered as well (The Contemporary has catering available) . It turned into a Happy UNBirthday for my FIL. We had sandwiches, chips, drinks, mickey brownies and a cake. I brought along party hats and party blowers themed in Pirates. It turned out to be the best moment that we have all ever had at any Disney park. The view of the fireworks was spectacular. Not having to find a spot at the park and stake it out was a relief. Being together was even better though. All in all- it was a truly magical experience. It was a little over $500 after the boat, food, and captain's tip. The captain BTW was wonderful. He showed us around the water and pointed neat things out and shared some Disney secrets with us. I would do it again in a second!

Thank you soo much for sharing your story! I am going to keep the reservation! Very nice story!

We did this in 2007 and it was nice but I don't feel that it was worth the money. My then 13 year old son did have an amusing encounter with Captain Hook that I wouldn't have wanted to miss but I wouldn't do it again. If, on the other hand you're talking about renting out the boat for just your family, we did that many years ago for our wedding anniversary (which is 4th of July) and that was awesome. It was much cheaper back then, I don't think I could afford it now.
