Grand Floridian??????

I am staying at the GF 11/11 - 11/15. We have a standard room booked and I was just curious which building i should request. There are 2 adults and 2 children (both 7) Any suggestions would be great. thank you

The buildings which will be closest to the pools are Big Pine Key and Boca Chica. The buildings which are the furthest away, but have lovely garden views are the Sago Cay and Conch Key. The actual resort itself is not that big, it's probably not more than a 3 minute walk from the farthest point. Sago Cay is where we have stayed on 2 of our trips to the GF. It is right by the marina and Gasparilla Grill. Also, it's just a short walk from the back entrance to the main building.

I have stayed in Sago Cay twice, both times I saw the monoral and some of the lagoon. It was very nice at night we could go out and watch the fireworks from the marina area.

Tammi is right..the resort is small and well laid out..so really no matter what building it will be close to everything.

I would request Boca Chica. It is my favorite building When we stayed in a standard room there (garden view) we had a fantastic view of the Main bldg. and overlooked the "quiet" pool. In the eveing the view of the Main Bldg. was so wonderful - it's lit up with tiniy white lights along the eaves...Good Luck!

Be aware that Gasparilla may still be closed for rehab when you go, if that influences your decision.

We always stay at Sago Cay and love it. We've also always overlooked the marina. It is very peaceful and quiet. Of course we loved being close to Gasparillas (which I think will be closed for your trip) and we loved being close the tables in front of the marina to watch the fireworks at night. Whichever building you end up in you will love this resort! BTW we have three children and they love it too - not stuffy at all the way sometimes people have the preconceived notion that GF is too formal.

The GF is great you will love it! Another vote for Sago Cay
