Does the AP discount or public discount usually apply to rooms in the main building? A few years ago the discounts were not applicable. Not sure what the case is now.

What is the difference between GV and GV deluxe?

It all depends on your dates. I just checked a few random dates in Jan with the new room only discount. There were standard rooms available with the code. I used a 40% off public code last Sept for a main building deluxe king room. So there is no specific exclusion for GF main building, but it all depends on how booked the hotel/ category is. Remember, Disney uses these discounts to fill rooms. If lots of rooms are already booked at rack rate, they won't have to include that category in the promo.

Sorry I don't know the answer to your other question. You might want to check out the GF or club level threads. Someone there is bound to know.

I have booked the main building with an AP discount at least once a year. I prefer the queen deluxe rooms but availability of those with a discount is scarce. So applicable yes, available, sometimes not.
