Instead of cleaning the house and doing the dishes today, I've been cruising the boards and thinking about my hopefully solo Dec. 2010 trip.

One of the things I've considered doing is the tea at the Grand Floridian. I know this is something the rest of the family would never, ever care about.

For those who have done it, do you think it would be long and boring for only one person?

I like tea so I was thinking it might be something I enjoy. What do you all think?

I would go for it...I love the Afternoon Tea time at GF. When we stayed in GF, I told my husband while my son napped...he stays with him and I'm going to the downstairs but he wanted it too so he just called private dinning and set it up in our balcony but if he didn't do that for me...I would have gone by myself and enjoyed my free time. Enjoy and have a magical trip

The GF afternoon tea is lovely and peaceful, and perfect for solos. You can get a window seat if that makes you more comfortable, and watch the goings-on in the courtyard. The delightful and very polite CMs take very good care of you, and do stop to chat now and then. I have no doubt you will love it. I've been twice.

I did it solo - anniversary gift from DH - and it was wonderful, a perfect break. I picked up a magazine in the GF gift shop and enjoyed the quiet time!

I've done it solo several times! Just grab some gossip magazines and enjoy the peace and quiet of the restaurant. :goodvibes
