I have booked w/ a respected Disney travel company for the first time. However, I'm not sure I am receiving 100% accurate info on my room type. Please help because I don't know enough about the GF to know if this is correct:

"Concierge Deluxe room in the Main building with a Lagoon View and King Bed"

From my type-A personality research, I though all concierge deluxes at the GF were 2 queen beds and no lagoon view (or at least not guaranteed?). Plus, I "priced" it online myself and the same price comes up as a standard concierge room.

So, I guess I need to confirm whether the room I listed exists and if not, and I have a "standard concierge room" does that confirm a concierge room in the main building with no guarantees on king/2 queens?

Sorry to be so long winded...just didn't want to show up expecting the larger deluxe room and find that it was just a standard room.

Thanks for any info :)

We have stayed at the GF many times in the main building in a standard room. I was told by the Concierge staff that there are deluxe rooms that do face the lagoon but they only accomodate 2 people (king bed). We are three so we would not be able to reserve that room. If I am not mistaken the deluxe rooms are down the hall way before you get to the standard rooms. Below is some information that I have found. Hope it helps.

Concierge rooms - Accommodations on the concierge level vary from standard guest rooms to larger deluxe rooms (rooms in the main building offering a spacious sitting area within the guest room with sofa, coffee table, entertainment center, wet bar, writing desk, two chairs and a table, two queen-size beds, but never a Magic Kingdom view) to one- and two-bedroom suites, all with a variety of views including marina, lagoon, and garden. Located in both the upper floors of the main building (the Royal Palm Club) and the Sugar Loaf building (the Lodge Concierge), they provide extra amenities such as DVD players, curbside check-in, private checkout, and the feel of being a special guest in a much smaller hotel. The Royal Palm Club, located on the fourth floor of the main building in a prime position overlooking the Grand Lobby, is the more upscale of the two concierge lounges with views of the Seven Seas Lagoon and the resort’s lovely courtyard. Serving all rooms and suites on floors 3, 4, and 5 of the main building, you’ll find a concierge staff on duty near the main elevator of the third floor

WoW this is great!

I did not know that the main building had standard rooms. How do you request this? Everytime I question Disney reservation agents that inform me that there are no standard rooms in the main building.

I have a child with albinism and its difficult walking from building to building with the sun in July. We book the Cabanas for our entire stay, which is the orginal reason we tried the GF. Being on monorail is a huge help too.

the main building has standard rooms but they are all concierge. The main building is only concierge.

The deluxe rooms with the king bed, are more commonly referred to as the honeymoon rooms. There are 8 or 9 located on the 2nd floor of the main building and they offer a view of the castle. These rooms are standard size, but come with a guaranteed king bed, small seating area and a balcony. The other style of king bed deluxe rooms is the turret style. There are 6 of these and they're located on the 3rd, 4th and 5th floors of the main building. These rooms are much bigger. They come with the 4 poster king bed, larger seating area, walk in closet and no balcony. There are 6 large windows that offer a panaromic view from either the monorail around to the beach or from the Wedding Chapel around to the castle.

The only thing that I notice which is wrong on your confirmation is the "lagoon view". When you book a room in concierge, there is no way to guarantee a view, it's a request only. As a club level guest, you do have access to concierge pre-planners. If you would like to request a specific honeymoon layout or view, you can work directly with them.
