I'm considering booking a couples massage at the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Has anyone out there done this in the last year or so? Is it worth the $275 they charge for 50 min? I've never gotten a massage from a spa before and my DH has been talking about going to get one for a long time now so I thought that would be a nice surprise.

Opinions and recomendations are much appreciated.

Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We just did the couples' massage this past week! It was very nice, though, as others pointed out to me (run a search for past posts), you're not really in the same room. It's more like 2 separate rooms, but they open up the curtain between the two.

We were beginner massagees, though :) so it was nice to be together for the massage. As far as whether it's worth it, I think the aromatherapy massages are around $135/person, so the price difference isn't really a big deal.

Cheers!

Thanks for the info! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
I'll have to check out the details of the aromatherapy massages. That sounds nice too.

That stinks that you're not exactly in the same "room". I guess you don't really notice that your sig other is there anyways during something that's supposed to be so relaxing. I'm also considering the "tired legs & feet" massage since we will almost be done with our WDW trip @ the time i want to book this. I'ts cheaper:confused3 ...I guess I should ask my DH what he wants to do.

We did one many years ago on our honeymoon. It was the same room but one big room. We weren't side by side for sure though. It was heavenly though and I thought the services at the GF were very good!

I'm glad I did a search for this. DW and I will be spending our anniversary at AKL in November and I was thinking of surprising her with the couples massage. However, after reading hmp2z's post I have to admit I'm disappointed that you aren't in the same room.

We had a couples massage on board our first DCL cruise, now THAT was nice because you were literally right next to each other. Needless to say we fell asleep holding hands. :)

btw....where bouts in Florida do you two live, hmp2z? We're in Orlando.
