Grand Floridian rooms

I've searched the forum and have been unable to find an answer to this. From what I can find, there is a room type called "Lodge Tower." Where exactly would a Lodge Tower room be in the GF.

Also, are there any "regular" rooms in the main building or are all of those really expensive?

All of the rooms in the main building are concierge (a.k.a $$$).

I know that for sure. As far as the Lodge Tower Rooms, I am not quite sure.

The lodge tower rooms are all located out in the lodge buildings. I think there are only 1 per floor in the lodge buildings. They are slightly larger than the regular rooms at the GF. They have two queen beds, and a sitting area attached with a loveseat and two chairs. These rooms only sleep 4, due to the lack of a day bed. There are regular sized concierge rooms in the main building (exactly the same as the rooms in the lodge buildings), but they are MUCH more expensive than a regular room at the GF. They are approx $250 more per night than a garden view room.

There are lots of old posts about Lodge Tower rooms at the GF. Try doing a search under "lodge tower".

Basically a lodge tower room is a standard room with an extra sitting area. There is one lodge tower room on each floor of each lodge building. (not in the main building) Here is a link to my old thread with pictures:

It certainly doesn't sound like a Lodge Tower room is worth it - at least for me - just me and my DH. For what situations would you find the extra cost of a Lodge Tower room to be worth the extra $$?

As someone who has two kids, the more room the better!!!

We did it for extra room... but it really didn't make much difference. It just gave us an extra place to sit down, and an extra TV. I probably wouldn't do it again.
