Hi everyone my name is Alyssa and I recently took a trip down to meet with DFTWP. I had a tone of my questions answered, but long story short we have had a really good turn out with how many people are interested in joining us for our special day. We originally thought about 30 but it is now over 55 and it looks like it is going to be about 65 including my fiancé and I. I loved the Whitehall ballroom but it seems like it may be to small for that many questions. Can anyone recommend any other locations? I really love the Grand Floridian epically at night it's so beautiful lit up at night, and I wanted my guests to enjoy the MK fireworks with us from the Grand Floridian the night of our reception. I am not a big fan of the Altanic Dance hall, I wanted to keep it feeling intimate as best I can. Thanks youin advance for any advice, it is much appreciated.

Congrats and welcome! The Grand Floridian is a great location. We also had too many people for Whitehall Room, we actually had 66 total. What you can do is have your pre-reception at Whitehall and then move to a ballroom for the reception. We had ours in St. Augustine Room and we had a dessert party at the Marina for the fireworks. There are tons of pics in my PJ to give you an idea of how everything looks set up. I know I was a little worried about the ballroom but when it is all decorated and the lights are dimmed it looks very nice in there. Happy Planning!

:thumbsup2 Agree - our DD and DSIL had their cocktail hour in Whitehall room and then moved to a ballroom for seated dinner, etc.....it was a perfect night - so don't let the numbers stop you from staying at the GF:love: After the seated dinner reception - there was a DP at Epcot for everyone - and it was wonderful....

HI! We have had a really great response from our family and friends, too! We were planning on 50 total, but now it may creep up around 60, or so. And like you I was worried we would get too big for the room. The last time I talked to Kristi, my sales consultant, which was the end of week before last, she said the Whitehall Room can accommodate up to 80 people if you are having your event during a season in which you can all sit outside! ...just thought I'd let you know what I have been told, if your heart is set on Whitehall Room! :)

Hiya

I've just read your PJ and TR - amazing! Your colours and idea of the day and everything are really similar to what I have in mind for mine! I think you've even swayed me on Mickey and Minnie!

My DF and I aren't getting married for about 4 years yet, as I'm still studying for my doctorate, so haven't reached my full earning potential yet! I finish next year which will give us three years to save!

The St. Augustine looks lovely on your pictures! From other pictures I've seen and layout, it looks really long and narrow. It's also encouraged me in terms of numbers as you have a similar guest count to what we're looking at! Brilliant!

I was wondering if you would be able to do me a big favour and pm me a ball park figure for what you paid for your wedding? I would be so so so grateful as it would give me an idea of how much I need to save up! If it's too personal then it's absolutely fine :) but I just thought I would ask as I pretty much want everything you had!!

You looked amazing on your wedding day, and everything looked spectacular! I hope I have as amazing a day as you guys looked to have! :cloud9:
