Grand Floridian Reception - help!

i am planning on having the grand floridian convention centre for my wedding reception - my planner has suggested using Salon 7 and 8 for the plated dinner and then moving to the Whitehall Room and pation for dessert party and dancing.

We have been on a site visit, however, we did not see salon 7 and 8 - does anyone know what they are like or have any pictures? or has anyone had their recpetion there?

please help - it is really difficult when you have not seen it yourself!

Does that cost extra set fee and gratutity to be switching like that? I want the grand floridian too, I never heard of salons at all. I just thought it would be in that one room they show on the wish book. Keep me posted about how you are going to do your reception.

We are using the GF but are probably going to be using St augustine (it depends on the amount of guests you are having I believe) Salons 7&8 are actually part of that HUGE ballroom they close it off with dividers...it is in the hall which leads to Whitehall.
