Grand Floridian Pool Questions

We’re on the fence about our upcoming late November stay and have a few Grand Floridian pool questions. We’ll be staying at the villas. Is that pool with the side open and can anyone swim when they want or do they cap it at a certain capacity? Also, this would be our first trip in November. Are folks usually swimming at that time of year? Is the pool bar open? Thanks!

Late November temperatures can range and can be anywhere from low to mid 80’s during the day to really cold at night!!! I, personally, do not swim all that much in November, but my kids will go in the pool. (Hot tub is great during the early evenings, though!) I recommend packing a little of everything... heavy shirts/pants to tees/shorts and a bathing suit. I like being fully prepared for November!

With regards to pool capacity, we stayed at Yacht Club this past weekend and got the inside scoop on how they are handling capacity from one of the life guards. Capacity is not based on the traditional pool capcity but rather what the pool deck can handle with the chairs spaced apart. Once all chair groupings are occupied by parties, they will not allow anyone in until a chair group opens up. There are several cast members walking around with what I believe is a pool diagram marking available chairs as they clean them. So it seems they are tracking it. We did stay at the Grand Floridian Villas over Labor Day and the pool bar was open at the Beach Pool

I find that in normal times, if you get to the pool by about 11:00am, there will be chairs open while everyone is at the park in the morning. After 11:00, I have personally found it gets busier. I'm not sure now with Covid.
