Grand Floridian Pool Cabana in the "Kid" Pool Area - Map or Number to Request?

Hi.

We will be staying at the GFVs in October and I want to book a cabana for our pool day.
We have my grandson with us and want a cabana in the kid pool area (I have rented the "patio" or whatever it is called in the other pool area but never the kid pool).

Do they rent these too at 60 days out or can I call now? Also, is there one that is better to request than another? Is there a map online somewhere? I looked with
google but didn't see anything.

I believe those are 60 days. They are all at the one end so I don’t remember any seeming as they would be better than any other. But we haven’t actually rented one. Just going from memory.

We have one rented for upcoming trip in 2 weeks. Rental was 60 days and try to do it at that mark! Since we haven’t done it yet I can’t report on “location”. Hopefully someone else can help with that or I’ll try to remember to report back lol!

Yes, it is 60 days out. We didn’t get to request a location; they simply gave us what they had. There are, I think, only 4 cabanas in total; that’s all I remember seeing anyway. All of the cabanas were booked for the day we had ours booked. Ours was second to last and we liked the location.

If you are talking about the kids splash pad area they are not the full size cabanas. They are similar to the “dedicated patio” section. They have umbrellas and lounge chairs maybe a small couch. It is not fully covered like the full size cabana at the main pool.

The full cabanas are in the Beach Pool Area. There are 4 Cabanas with drinks, fruit, and a dessert sampler provided. You can also order from the Beach Pool Bar/Grill. Each Cabana has a TV, Fan, and chairs/couch inside and 2 lounge chairs outside.

We just returned this weekend and we asked for and received Cabana #3. There is also a DVC discount.

I thought I see cabanas when I am walking from the GV main building to the DVC building.
This is, what I thought, was the baby pool with all the water and something like a big bucket that spills water.
Is there another baby pool area? We will be brining my 14 month old grandson. I NEVER paid any attention since we kids are adults but
I now have a grandson.

That’s correct that area does not have full cabanas. What they have are “splash pad premium seating”. “Padded lounge chairs, padded sectional couch, snack basket, complimentary sodas and waters” $159.75 for full day. You can find that Information with a picture on page 1 of the “Grand Floridian Resort and Spa Information and questions” thread.

See my post above for that information. It is the pool in between the Villas and GF. The Cabanas are red and white.

Grabbed a picture of the reserved seating in the splash area. It would be a great reserved are for families with little children who would primarily use the splash area rather than the main pool.

As I'm sure you know, this cabana is at the Beach Pool. There may be Umbrella Cabanas at the Main pool similar to the one pictured above in LottiesMommy's post. Really not sure. Here's the Courtyard pool:

You need to call starting at 60 days out: 407-939-7529. We were able to book 4 of our 5 pool days a few weeks ago and added the 5th when we arrived.

They do offer a DVC discount of 15% as I recall. Personal preference, but we asked for and received Cabana #3. It has a clear view of the pool, beach, and water. Cabanas 2 and 3 are the two inside of the four and provides a little buffer from the restrooms/pool towel/desk area.
