Grand Floridian or Polynesian???

My wife and I are staying at the Animal Kingdom Lodge for 4 night then going on a cruise for 4 days. But we are staying one more night after the cruise, and I can't decide whether to stay at the Grand Floridian(outer building theme park view, or the Polynesian (standard room, lagoon view, or studio villa standard view) Any thoughts???? I know we won't be in the room much since its just for one night but will be going to epcot and magic kingdom so the monorail is a must!!!

I would stay at the GF TPV!! watch wishes from your balcony! Beautiful! Dining options are fantastic here! the GF has large beautiful rooms, an awesome lobby and no construction (at least not last time I checked! LOL). depending upon how soon you are going, you may still be looking at Construction at the Poly. That is a deal breaker for us!

Both are great resorts, though, so you will likely enjoy whichever you choose!

Love both resorts! But for only one night, I'd pick GF. Love GF, and no construction. Even though Poly had the best transportation options, with being walking distance to TTC for Epcot monorail, for a 1 night stay I wouldn't want to be bothered with construction.

I can't say enough good things about GF. It's a dream. We visited Poly on our last trip and it just didn't do so much for me.

If you are going to both Epcot and the Magic Kingdom, I would definitely pick the Poly. It has easy access to both parks and has always been our favorite for theme.

It's very cool to wake up at the GF and watch the monorail roll past MK from your balcony. GF has more elegant atmosphere, more higher end dining options. But Poly also has a very cool atmosphere, but check the construction.

Both are absolutely lovely choices. I would pick the resort that has the theming that appeals to you the most. The theming is very different across those two. Sounds like you have a wonderful trip planned!

I don't know when you are traveling, but construction at the Poly is a BIG consideration in my book. I'd stay at the GF.

I would say GF because of the construction. I stay at GF when I go but stayed at Poly as a kid so that is still my nostalgic favorite resort. Poly has awesome atmosphere. Just possibly not during construction...

I agree. Both are beautiful resorts, you really can't go wrong with either one.

You can't go wrong with either. My own personal preference for my taste, Poly.

Thanks for all of the help, we are going mid Sept, and there is still going to be construction on the secondary pool so I think we will choose GF!!!
