I have never stayed at the Grand Floridian and we are thinking about trying it our next trip:yay: My questions are, "How many floors are in the garden view sections?" Which are the best garden view sections to ask for?" and "How is the food court?". Any insight would be greatly appreciated:flower3:

Well the both times my wife and I asked for a Garden View we were put in the Big Pine Key building. From our room you couldn't see much just the pool and that was about it. The good thing was the beach was literally right around the corner from the building which was nice. As far as the food court goes, Gasperelli Grill is just okay nothing great. It's your basic items like burgers, chicken strips, pizza and such but it is open 24hrs :thumbsup2 . This came in handy when returning from the parks after closing and you're hungry and when you're craving a soda late at night since there are no vending machines on property.

I just booked a garden view in the main tower of the GF for next Dec....I wonder what type of view we will have.

We stayed in a GV room during our trip and I was pleasantly surprised. To answer your question, there are garden view rooms in every lodge building on all floors and GV rooms in Sago Cay and Conch Key can over look the Marina and SSL. Our room was a 4th floor dormer in Boca Chica overlooking the courtyard.

Many ask for rooms in Sago Cay due to it's proximity to the bus stops and food court; not to mention that your view will either be of the Marina or SSL.

Our room had very easy access to the quiet pool and equal walking distance to the main pool, main building, or food court. The longest walk was to the bus stops... but it was by no means a hassel.

I wasn't overly impressed with the QS option at the resort. The food was good (a slight step up from your basic food court) but I found the set up to be very poor.

They combined this with an arcade section (constant game noise) and very limited seating in an already tight space. I'd either take our food back up to the room or eat at one of the Marina side tables overlooking the castle :cloud9:

Absolutely amazing stay... no complaints. There's some great information regarding views and pictures on the resorts FAQ thread.

4disneygenerations The GVs at the GF are beautiful! Your view can be of the courtyard pool, gardens or even marina view (which is considered GV at the GF)...My personal favorite is Boca Chica it overlooks the courtyard pool and the main building...very lovely...the resort is set up nicely ...not too spread out at all...

As Disneysherpa said there is alot of great info on the GF Faq thread...pictures maps etc...

The GF is a wonderful resort to spend time at...

Have a great trip...:flower3:
