We will be staying at Grand Floridian Logdge Concierge in April. I heard the Concierge will actually make dining reservations for you, even hard to get ones. How does that work?

Thanks in advance!

We just got back from there - I emailed them all my requests and they made them. When we arrived I had decided to do another one but hadn't been able to get a booking - by the time we had unpacked the Concierge people rang through to say it was booked. We LOVED it there!

As soon as you have an idea what restaurants you'd like to dine in and when, just send an e-mail off to the IPO staff of the GF. They'll notate your request in their system and once the window opens up for reservations, you're request will be transformed into a confirmation. They can also take care of cruises, tours, tickets, special items in your room, etc.

How do I get the IPO staff e-mail address? Are they going to send us a letter with our confirmation?

I booked the hotel awhile ago and haven't gotten anything back. Is it just because it's too far in advance?

Thanks!

Here you go, wdwgfplanning@disney.com . Feel free to contact them, get the ball rolling and introduce yourself. I've noticed with the GF in particular, that they usually wait until you are much closer to your vacation before calling you. Most things can't be booked until your 90 day window, but if you wanted something special like Victoria & Alberts chefs table, that can be booked at 180 days. There are a few other exceptions to the 90 day rule, like Hoop Dee Doo and Cirque du Soleil.

You mentioned the lodge concierge, which is in the SugarLoaf building. You can also request a specific view or room style. In SugarLoaf, they have garden views or marina views available. There are king beds available in their standard rooms, but you can also request a tower room if that style interested you. The room is a little bit bigger and it comes with 2 queen beds, plus a bow design sitting area with a couch, chair and 2nd tv.

I just noticed it will be your honeymoon, congratulations. Concierge can also purchase special gifts to have in your room upon arrival. You can have the Minnie bridal veil and Mickey groom ears or they can put you in touch with private dining and you can order chocolate cigars, or tuxedo strawberries and champagne.

We are going Nov/Dec. I emailed the IPO staff with a list of ADR requests. They got every single one of them, all on the exact days and times requested. They also got us a Wishes Fireworks Cruise and a Sleigh Ride at the Wilderness Lodge. They've been great!

I may call Private Dining to arrange some special food delivered such as a box of truffles or the chocolate champagne flutes. I also may do Mickey ears for the kids.

Congrats on your wedding! We were married on April Fools Day in 1995 and Disneymooned at the Poly. This will be our first trip back to the World, so we're celebrating our 10th a little belated.

GF planning is wonderful! The got us the best seats in the house for Cirque, and got every single PS request we made. They even went the extra mile when we asked for a PS at Kona about 70 days out. To my surprise they said at first it was booked solid for the night. But when they e-mailed me an updated itinerary later that day, the itinerary had the PS for Kona, at the time we'd requested. Our planner pulled a few strings and viola, a PS at our sleeper hit restaurant of our last trip. Mmmmm....pot stickers!!!!

Unofficial Guide says it's now 100 days for resort guests. Is this accurate? Haven't seen much discussion of it.

Kind of. It's still 90 days from your check-in date, but at that 90 day mark you can make PS's for your entire lenght of stay up to 10 days. So, if you are staying 10 days, and you make a PS for your 10th day, you are really booking 100 days out for that particular PS.
