Grand Floridian Concierge

--the GF offers Vittel water, which doesn't come in individual bottles, only larger glass bottles. They are left out, and you have to refill a glass.

Oh, so true. My husband wanted the whole bottle, asked the lady who tends the food service if she had a bottle he could have. She was extremely retuctant to part with it. DH ended up tipping her $5. I just want to add that we were desperate as the taste of water at WDW was extremely foul last December. The taste cut through even tea and coffee. (However, the water tasted better last month.) By the way, there were a slew of threads on this topic of Florida water on this board, so I will refrain from restarting that. I just wanted to explain why we ended up raiding the mini-fridge and tipping extravagantly to get bottled water.

--They're also no trays to carry food back to your room, like the Poly.

They do have them. You just have to ask. I agree with other posters that we shouldn't have to ask. Fortunately, my DH has no compunctions about asking for things.:D

This has been a major headache . . .*chuckles* . . . I wish that Disney would post clearly somewhere the answers to this. I just got off the phone with one of the SL GF concierge staff, and she was very nice, but told me that the service stops at 7 pm, which directly contradicts what I was previously told. Also, no alcohol of course. So my guess in distilling all of this for the ones out there like me with SL reservations is that the same food is available as in the main lodge until 7 pm, meaning three serving times, and then only drinks and perhaps a left over cookie or two until ten. Add to it for me that the total cost on expedia for all the packages have gone up (I am guessing because of the airfare portion of the trip) and I am tempted to stay anyways. I could transfer to BI or YC for almost the same price, but looked at the photos and it just does not have the ambiance of the GF to me, and a bit of desert and wine and cordials does not make up for that. Perhaps I can upgrade for less than the $550 for the week difference it currently shows to be in RPC when I get there, it is the slowest week of the year the first week in september, but if not I will be fine there. Good luck to the rest of you, and hopefully this last call and info that I got helped. Have a great trip.
